Dr. Jerry Tolbert

Dr. Jerry Tolbert is board certified in Family Medicine and has been in practice in Burlington, KY for 15 years. He started his career in medicine in 1980 when he joined the KY Army National Guard to train as a combat medic, later becoming one of the first professional paramedics in the Northern KY area. He later became a Registered Nurse and worked several years in the Emergency Department at St. Elizabeth North in Covington, KY before going on to medical school at the University of Kentucky College Of Medicine, where he graduated with distinction, and completing his residency in Family Medicine at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

After Patient First Physicians Group merged with Summit Medical Group to become St. Elizabeth Physicians, and prior to founding Total Access Physicians, Dr. Tolbert left to serve for 4 years on active duty with the US Army directing the unit overseeing the care of reserve soldiers injured in the line of duty.

Dr. Tolbert is a lifelong resident of Northern KY and lives in Florence with his wife and kids. He truly believes that being a physician is a privilege and calling, not a job, and he looks forward to providing affordable healthcare to the citizens of Northern Kentucky for many years to come.
